Spectators with transportation needs should contact the WSGA Championship Department at (206) 526-8605, option 5, prior to the championship so that arrangements can be made to have a driver on site.

Requests due to temporary injuries or impairments will not be granted.

A player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect her play, (e.g., elevation changes, wind speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14.3.

Refunds approved after the closing deadline, and up until round one pairings are released, are subject to a $25 administrative fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER ROUND ONE PAIRINGS HAVE BEEN RELEASED.

During play of the championship, a “Withdrawal Form,” available from a WSGA staff member, must be completed by any competitor withdrawing.  Entrants who unofficially withdraw, by not filling out a form or without sufficient reason, may not be granted entry into any future WSGA championship for a minimum of two years.

PACE OF PLAY

Rule 6-7 of the Rules of Golf states: “The player shall play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines which may be laid down by the Committee. Between completion of a hole and playing from the next teeing ground, the player shall not unduly delay play.”

AS A CONDITION OF THIS COMPETITION, PLAYERS ARE SUBJECT TO BEING TIMED AT ANY TIME DURING THEIR ROUND.

If a group is out of position, (DEFINED BELOW) the group will be alerted to the fact and will be requested to play at a faster pace and to regain their position on the course.  Each member of the group will be subject to individual timing at this time (see timing criteria below).  If a golfer exceeds the maximum time allowed for a shot, she is subject to the prescribed penalty listed below. Any warning given remains in effect for the stipulated round.  If a group fails to regain their position on the course, even though no individual has exceeded the maximum individual time allowed, the GROUP may be subject to penalty if the group exceeds the total time the Committee has determined that each group should take to play a hole.

OUT OF POSITION DEFINED:  A group is out of position when starting the play of any hole which is clear of all players ahead or when they have exceeded the average time per hole allotted for the competition (i.e. the equivalent of one full par 4 hole behind).  During the play of a par 5 hole, a group shall be out of position when the group in front of them has started to putt on the par 5 green.  During the play of a par 3 hole, a group shall be out of position when the group in front of them has left the teeing ground of the next hole).

TIMING CRITERIA:  When a group is not out of position, players are requested to play within 45 seconds. If a group is out of position, the players in the group are allowed a maximum of 40

seconds per shot.  Other than on the putting green, timing will begin after a reasonable amount of time is allowed to mark, lift, clean and replace the ball, repair her ball mark and on the line of putt repair other ball marks and remove loose impediments.

Undue delay may also occur between strokes.  Accordingly, a competitor may be subject to penalty under Rule 6-7 even if they play each of their strokes in less than the time allowed.

General guidelines are that groups of four should average 14 minutes per hole, groups of three 13 minutes per hole, and groups of two 12 minutes per hole.  Please check with the starter to determine the “TIME PAR” for the course.

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE 6-7:

                            For subsequent offense-Disqualification
